Outdoor Learning Service

EA Outdoor Learning Service

EA Youth Service provide opportunities for our children and young people to engage in outdoor learning opportunities as part of either their school curriculum, or through youth work programmes.  All of the EA’s Outdoor Learning Centres provide inclusive adventure learning experiences for young people of all abilities. Whilst a number of universal programmes are offered across all centres, they are adaptable to the needs of each specific group. The unique location and facilities of each centre also enables each to offer bespoke and specialist programmes.

There are 6 outdoor centres located across Northern Ireland: there are 4 catered residential centres and 2 self-catered residential centres.  We are delighted that our centres are all accessible and activities can be adapted based on the needs of participants.  The staff teams are highly qualified and experienced outdoor learning professionals who are passionate about learning in the outdoor environment.

The EA Outdoor Learning Service also provide a peripatetic service.  These instructors work across Northern Ireland to offer support in the delivery of outdoor programmes, providing children and young people access to outdoor activities based in their local community using the natural local environment to develop programmes.
