Peripatetic Service

The EA Outdoor Learning Service provides a Peripatetic Outdoor Learning Service.  These Instructors work across Northern Ireland to offer support in the delivery of Outdoor Programmes to children and young people.

The service is very flexible and offers school pupils and youth group members access to outdoor activities based in their local community using the natural local environment to develop programmes.

The Peripatetic Outdoor Learning Service Programme aims to deliver high quality outdoor learning experience to young people. Prior to a visit a staff member will consult with staff and young people to agree the programme and learning outcomes.

The programmes offered offer variety and can range for accredited learning programmes to taser activity sessions.

Accredited programmes offered include the John Muir Award, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Go MTB qualifications, field studies programmes, climbing levels courses and the OCN In Environmental Awareness.
