At Youth Online we love finding resources that teach you guys different skills that will help in different areas of life. One of the most versatile life skills you can develop is the ability to tie different knots (just ask our friends at the Scouts!). With that in mind we have found this great site that uses animations to teach you how to tie a variety of knots. The great thing is that you don’t need much to learn this skills (you could even borrow one of your shoe laces to try out the different knots.) so there’s no reason not to give it a go.
Here is one of the youtube videos from the site showing the figure of 8 knot to give you an idea how they work but the beauty of the site is that because their animations don’t run through YouTube you don’t have to keep going back and forwards pausing the video, you can just work through the tutorial at your own pace.
